Senior researcher at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Dr Ridhwaan Suliman delivered a presentation titled: COVID-19 Data and Trends. The Devil in the Details, during the latest in the Data@breakfast webinar series hosted by UKZN’s College of Agriculture, Engineering and Science.
The brainchild of UKZN Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Big Data and Informatics, Professor Francesco Petruccione, the Data@Breakfast events were created to act as a platform to discuss ‘topics at the forefront of big data, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, machine learning and more.’
After the national COVID-19 lockdown was instituted, it was a logical step for Professor Petruccione to turn to the online world to continue with the monthly seminar series. The online webinars on the COVID-19 outbreak have grown in popularity because of their informative and insightful content on the topic.
