STEC@UKZN live experiment of the week – Water Glass Magic
Join us every week for a short fun science experiment.
This week: Defying the laws of gravity? Drinking water upside down? This must be magic… or science!
What you will need for this experiment:
- A glass (normal drinking glass or jam glass)
- A piece of flat plastic (it needs to cover the glass opening, e.g. cut out margarine lid)
- Water
- Rubber band
- A piece of net (e.g. from onion package, or old silk stocking)
- Water
- A toothpick, optional
- A large bowl (just in case the experiment goes wrong)
Please send an e-mail to stec@ukzn.ac.za if you want to join us for this fun activity.
