Financial Clearance for Local Students
Please note that that the initial registration fee is R4000 and the initial residence deposit is R3000.
There are four easy ways to pay your fees and register:
The University bank account details are as follows:
NB: Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) from Standard Bank accounts as well as payments made directly at a Standard Bank branch will be updated within 3 (three) hours of payment provided that the beneficiary reference (valid UKZN student number) is correct. Payments made from other banks may take up to 4 (four) working days to update on the fee account. Please allow enough time for your payment to be processed. Automatic financial clearance will be granted thereafter.
Financial Clearance for International Students
Students are required to first update/clear their study permit records with the International Office prior to seeking financial clearance for registration.
All outstanding fees must be cleared prior to seeking for financial clearance for the 2021 academic year.
Total fees for academic year are payable upfront prior to registration.

NB: All foreign payments takes a minimum of two weeks to reflect on the student fee account. Therefore student are advised to make the payment in advance in order to prevent any financial clearance delays which will be automatic upon receipt of the required deposits.
